Sherlock Holmes

I just saw Sherlock Holmes this evening with my parentals. It was a fun movie--I'd give it a B, consistent with what yahoo users and critics gave it. Its fun to always to imagine the olden times with horse drawn carriages in the streets of london. The movie had some quick humor and a lot of action, however the only downside I thought was that of hearing the actors. It seems that they talked really fast and almost like a mumble sometimes. Its worth the trip to the theatre to see it. However I've heard I need to get to the IMAX theatre for Avatar (supposed to be amazing).

Ghana U20 World Cup Winners

I must say the young Black Stars (U20) looked strong during the entire World Cup campaign. Ghana has a lot to be proud of now, but also for the future. Life should be happy in relation to football for Ghana as these promising players will only get better. Let's hope for no injuries!! Congrats Black Stars!

Now if we can only clear drama between Fifa and Stephen Appiah over player of the year voting. Now is not the time for distractions!!

Aston Villa FC

Aston Villa is supposed to make a run at the top four in the Premier League, then get drilled 3-0 against Arsenal. Yes, Villa did make some havoc at times, but shots on goal and time of possession heavily favored Arsenal. Villa has proved strong for the most part of the season, lets hope they'll bounce back with some strong performances in the next week... i think Villa has to play 4 games within 10 days! Go Villa!! Stay Strong!

Indianapolis Colts

What a weird way to coach the Colts game against the New York Jets. The Colts lost their undefeated season due to their own errors. If you want to concede the game, then I can understand pulling all the starters, but not just a few. After pulling most of the starters the Colts only had a handful of yards as compared to when Peyton Manning was in. Crazy, pulling only some of the starters and not all.. might as well left them in and made a run at history, instead, we can only hope for a good performance in the playoffs.

Healthcare/comparison to other countries

one hear's all kinds of rumours on healthcare, obama and all. one i have heard is relation to healthcare and his plans where he will turn the USA to more of a socialist view. ive not researched the healthcare plan, so I admit, i'm ignorant of the details; however the overall thought in relation to the rumor is: what's so bad about more people being covered? yes, taxes may go up on other people, however, say if their children who are trying to get a job and have no money at the moment can't afford insurance, at least if there was a govn't run healthcare plan at least they could be covered... it may not be the greatest but at least its something.

I know there are downfalls on both sides of the coin. From experience, I have been in countries such as the UK and Singapore and I couldnt afford insurance, but it was a nice feeling to know that I'm covered. yea, long lines, maybe not the best doctors, long wait to have a procedure done, but in the end at least those who are striving for the best can be covered.

Any thoughts?
